Augmented Reality Library App Bookful Adds Two Of Mattel’s Iconic Brands To It’s Platform

ookful, created by Inception XR, is the number one Augmented Reality children’s book app. The company has announced that it is working in collaboration with Mattel, the leading global toy company, to add Augmented Reality books to the Bookful platform from Mattel’s most iconic brands including Thomas & Friends and Barbie. 

Thomas & Friends was created by Reverend Wilbert Awdry, in the 75 years since the first book was written, the Thomas & Friends tales have evolved into hundreds of TV episodes, books, toys and even a theme park, and now with the innovative Augmented Reality technology from Inception XR, an AR book. 

Barbie was created over half a century ago, and is the world’s number one doll. Since it was created, Barbie has had over 200 careers, inspiring potential in every child. The brand’s ethos is “You Can Be Anything”, and the Augmented Reality Barbie book by Bookful hopes to empower and echo this message. 

The Thomas & Friends and Barbie books are joining Bookful’s expanding library of top publishers and brands, including DK, Charlesbridge and Penguin Random House. Bookful’s app features hundreds of books and educational games and is the world’s largest AR/3D library. 

Inception XR brings Bookful’s children’s books to life with Augmented Reality technology and 3D animations, providing productive screen time while promoting learning and reading.  

As well as delivering Augmented Reality technology in the Bookful app, Inception XR develop Extended Reality apps in key content categories, by combining a proprietary technology platform, exclusive content IP, cross-platform distribution and a global creative network.
