pson, suppliers of Moverio augmented reality smartglasses platform, has recently announced a partnership with Spinar American. The partnership comes in a collaborative effort to simplify and enhance today’s altered working environment. To do this, Epson and Spinar America are utilising augmented reality remote assistance and collaboration experiences through highly innovative and easy-to-use tools. By adopting Epson Moverio augmented reality smartglasses and Spinar America's Remote Vision SaaS product within Zoom video conferencing, companies can enable a remote expert to visualise what a local technician sees and give real time assistance from anywhere in the world by sharing what is directly in the technician's field of view.

Adapting to the remote and hybrid working environments, the collective solution enables companies to hasten repairs and eliminate mistakes, resulting in an enhanced service with increased productivity, improved customer satisfaction and reduced travel costs. Utilising the Moverio augmented reality smartglasses alongside the Spinar software powered by Zoom, allows for real-time collaboration between remote and on-site staff who can connect, collaborate, voice command and interact with content through hands-free communication without the cost and logistics of getting everyone in the same room.

 Spinar America, Inc. CEO, Kevin Weafer commented about the collaboration:

Moverio augmented reality smartglasses are powered by Epson's breakthrough Si-OLED display technology, which enable professionals to view the Remote Vision interface, powered by Zoom, including instructions and images sent via the chat box, through a wearable display that minimises visual obstructions. One of the benefits of the Moverio smartglasses is the built in camera, which unlike using a handheld tablet or smartphone allows for the wearier to have their hands free to continue working in collaboration with others more effectively from remote locations.

The collaboration efforts of Epson and Spinar showcased the Remote Vision powered by Zoom collaboration solution at the Field Service Connect USA 2021 virtual event, which was held on Feb. 17-18, 2021, however it was an exclusive, invite only event which 75 senior executives in charge of field service, Field Service Connect provides a forum to share detailed discussions, source solutions and services from leading providers, and gain valuable insights on improving strategy.
