Saturday: Kinder Create ‘Jump Into Africa’ Safari Experience In WebAR Portal In Tesco Stores
Confectionary brand Kinder, created a unique AR experience with their ‘Jump Into Africa’ Safari portal which transported shoppers into the African Savanna. The AR experience was created by FPP, the award winning Shopper Marketing Agency, who collaborated with Aircards, leaders in WebAR technology to deliver a unique immersive experience for the Kinder brand.
The ‘Jump Into Africa’ Safari featured a 3D Augmented Reality Portal experience, inviting shoppers at Tesco stores to walk through the portal door, explore the African Savanna and discover animated 3D safari animals alongside fun infographics to learn more about the animals in their own natural habitat.

Sunday: Public Hospital Trial AR Healthcare Solutions With Vection Technologies
Vection Technologies, a real time software company, has signed a deal to trial its augmented reality healthcare solutions to the San Giuseppe Moscati Hospital of National Relief and High Speciality, a public hospital in the Campania region of southwest Italy, and the LUISS Business School, part of the independent LUISS University in Rome. The trial will run across a three month period and is critical for the introduction of AR solutions in the ‘Italian Model for Risk Management in Healthcare’, a national model that hospitals must adopt to manage risk in healthcare.
Using Vection Technologies’ AR healthcare solutions, the trial at the Moscati hospital will utilise the AR for endoscopic surgery and real-time access to the electronic medical record system through wearable devices.

Monday: BMW Uses Augmented Reality In Vehicle Prototyping
The BMW Group is utilising a new Augmented Reality application in its manufacturing, to optimise vehicle concept and prototype engineering, which can quicken the process by as much as 12 months, from individual vehicle sections through to complex production stages.
With the use of AR glasses, virtual images in real scale holographic 3D models are overlaid onto a vehicle’s body, enabling a range of concept variants and assembly processes for future series vehicles can be assessed flexibly and cost-efficiently.

Tuesday: 8th Wall Launches WebAR Curved Image Targets To Bottles, Cans, Cups And More

Wednesday: Augmented Reality Studio Opens In London
A new purpose built augmented and mixed reality studio, opened its doors this month, offering industries a high tech alternative to using green screens.
The XR studio has been built using the innovative XR platform MARS, who create virtual 3D environments, mapped onto an LED stage which allows presenters, performers and actors to blend seamlessly into a photo-real or imaginary virtual environment, all in real time.
